Help with this pageHelp centre Guidance
Guidance on what MySide is, what it does and does not do, and how to use it for your case.
What to do here
- Browse the guidance, or open a case and use the help on each page as you go.
When to get independent advice
- MySide helps you get organised. For legal, financial, insurance, medical or welfare questions, use a qualified adviser as well.
MySide gives process support, not legal, financial, insurance or medical advice, and it never sends or submits anything for you.
Starting a case
Start with the basics: who the organisation is, your reference number, what happened, when it happened and what outcome you want.
Building a timeline
Add events in date order. Focus on facts: what was promised, what happened, who you contacted, what they said and what changed.
Adding evidence
Upload or record the proof that supports what happened: emails, photos, receipts, screenshots, call notes, contracts, booking confirmations and response letters.
Spotting contradictions
If the organisation says something you believe is wrong, record their statement, your position and the evidence that supports you.
Preparing drafts
Use drafts as a starting point. Check names, dates, reference numbers and tone before sending anything.
Checking sources
Use source links and route notes to check the current process before relying on a deadline, escalation route or official requirement.
Creating a case summary
Use the case summary to review the situation, chase, escalate or ask for advice. Remove anything irrelevant or too sensitive before sharing.
Staying in control
Mark steps complete, record replies and keep the next action visible. The aim is to stop the process becoming a cloud of stress.
